Rajnath Singh reviewed preparations for the upcoming Aero India, on 25 January, and urged the stakeholders to make sure that the attendees of the airshow have trouble-free arrangements. The event will be held at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, in Bengaluru, and will include a five-day air show each day, it will be India’s biggest aero show.
During the apex committee meeting on 25 January in New Delhi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Aero India 2023 would not only be an occasion but also a demonstration of the expanding capabilities of the aerospace and defence industries as well as the emergence of a powerful and independent New India.
The five-day event will be the largest aero show ever held at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, with a total area of almost 35,000 sq m with the slogan “The runway to a billion opportunities.”
731 exhibitors have signed up for the event so far. Among the main activities are a CEOs Roundtable and the Defence Ministers’ Conclave, with the subject “Shared Prosperity Through Enhanced Engagement in Defence (SPEED)”.
The event will also include an air show each day for five days, as well as the Manthan start-up event and Bandhan ceremony, which witnesses the signing of MoUs.
“Not just the private sector, but R&D establishments and academia are also working together with the government. Aero India is a medium to provide a platform to all the stakeholders to jointly strengthen the defence and aerospace sector and contribute to nation-building,” Mr. Rajnath Singh said.
